My name is Sofia, and I am a Master Herbalist, Iridologist, and Vitalist Nutritionist. I graduated from The Irish School of Herbal Medicine and am a member of The Irish Association of Master Medical Herbalists (IAMMH). My background includes 600 hours of clinical training in Physiology and Anatomy, Pathology, Materia Medica, Botany, and Phytochemistry.
I have a deep passion for plants and have had the opportunity to work directly on a local Irish family farm and tincture-making production line as a Dispensary Manager. This experience has allowed me to expand my knowledge in medicine making, safety and regulation, and the botanical market. I have also worked as an administrator and Dispensary assistant in a Holistic Clinic, giving me valuable experience running a physical practice.
Before becoming a herbalist, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher and scientist for over 12 years in various universities and research centers across Europe and England. After experiencing the positive impact that herbal medicine had on my health, I decided to change careers and combine my knowledge in science and herbal medicine.
I believe in the importance of the body-mind connection in enhancing health and well-being. I consistently study and practice modern Buddhism, other philosophies, meditation, and yoga to bring more consciousness and balance to my life. In my experience, a nutrition plan is just the start to put you in contact with your body's requirements. You also need to nourish the spirit with other activities and practices to bring more purpose and vitality to your life.
I am dedicated to providing the best care to my clients and am always learning and updating my knowledge through workshops, techniques and courses. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how I can help you, please don't hesitate to reach out!
I am particularly passionate about Women's Health and all related to the second chakra, which includes creative expression, a sense of identity, and emotional well-being. I believe in a modern approach to reproductive conditions that take into consideration the woman as a whole, including her life and circumstances. My goal is to add awareness and support to women’s health issues with nutrition and Herbal Medicine as complementary therapies.
My proposal is a specialised, rigorous and effective programme that will lead you to improve the quality of your health at all levels and in the long term. My approach is an active listening and a human approach whatever the symptom to be treated.
I was awarded a PhD in Chemistry Science and I have been working as a postdoctoral scientist in many different universities and research centres in Europe and England since 2008.
The ancient wisdom of medicinal plants inspired me to make a career and life change to be able to transmit that change you need to a new lifestyle that makes you feel empowered and free.
What I love
I love supporting people learn about plant medicine, deepen their connection with nature and their cycles and guide them to a healthier life.
